Beautiful stylish results are important when coating furniture. The Sayerlack Ultra-fresh water-based range can be used to produce finishes that are indistinguishable in quality, strength and chemical resistance as two-pack polyurethane finishes. Sayerlack is at the forefront of water-based technology that is conscientious about the wellbeing of people and the environment. AT48 is a two-pack acrylic-polyurethane waterborne, topcoat designed for interior joinery ensuring beautiful vibrant colours, very high yellowing resistance, light fastness, excellent surface hardness, good vertical hold, excellent flow, very smooth surface and excellent chemical resistance.
This product is particularly suitable for spraying interior wooden components where durability, good even matting and good chemical resistance is required. It is the ideal product for doors and furniture parts and can be sprayed using a conventional gun, airmix system, airless spray system and electrostatic gun. It is mixed with 10% of AH1550 Hardener with an 8 hour pot life and can be thinned using 5% water if necessary.

For best results, we suggest priming the surface with two to three coats of Sayerlack AU0474/13 Waterbased White Primer. Once fully cured denib the surface using 240-320 grit stearate abrasives. They provide a higher efficiency than conventional abrasives. Ensure the surface is completely clean of dust and debris before coating.
AT48 is a fully pigmented system that can be tinted to any colour shade or sheen desired. It can be mixed 10:1 with AH1550 for a mix that will last 8 hours pot life or alternatively 10:1 with AH1545 for a shorter 3-hour pot life, but superior chemical resistance. Apply the topcoat at a weight of 100-150 g/m². It is stackable after 24 hours from an application of 100g/m, in good drying conditions and with air circulation (at 20°C and with 65% of relative humidity). Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity will incur a longer drying time.
Due to the high chemical resistance of Waterbased Topcoats, the packaging used does not usually cause problems. We recommend high-density polythene. PVC or Pluriball are not suitable.
Sayerlack AH1545/00 for a high reactivity, a pot-life of approximately 3 hours and high chemical resistance.
Sayerlack AH1550/00 for a higher gloss level and an 8 hour pot-life for a much longer processing of the product after catalysis
